Angel Baise is an illustrator and character designer based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ever since she was very young, she has always had an affinity for animated media of years past while her love for vibrant colors came from the art of Lisa Frank’s illustrations, many children books, and classic SEGA cartoon-styled video games – most notably, the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
At the age of eight, Angel knew she always wanted to draw cartoon illustrations as a career path and seriously began to hone her craft as time went on from middle school into adulthood. She began her career as a graphic illustrator for officially licensed brand apparel via For Fans By Fans – starting with Hasbro’s My Little Pony franchise – while studying in Fine Arts at Louisiana State University where she would later receive her BFA from in such studies.
Angel would continue to create graphic illustrations for other franchises ranging from Marvel, Hatsune Miku, Care Bears, and Mega Man that would be applied on different apparel during her time with For Fans By Fans until 2021. Recently, she has provided illustration work for the LEGO Disney Princess magazine series which ran from 2020 – 2021, published by Blue Ocean Entertainment AG. Angel enjoys drawing in different cartoon styles – from flat cel-shading to detailed stylized rendering – which harken back a sense of nostalgia while always challenging herself to bring something new to the illustrations she creates through her many inspirations.
